"Connection is why we're here; it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives"

Brene Brown

Helloand welcome to my site

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).  This means that I am bound by BCACC's Code of Ethical Conduct and Standards of Clinical Practice and that  I have a Master's degree in Counselling.

I offer adult individual trauma counselling in Victoria and throughout British Columbia.  The effects of trauma manifest as symptoms which include anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship issues, body image and self-esteem issues. I offer both in-person sessions and virtual sessions.  In-person sessions are available in a conveniently located office.  Online sessions are conducted through a secure privacy-compliant video platform (Jane App).

My counselling perspective is that clients are the experts of their own lives, and with the right support they can change their circumstances.  I believe that a safe and secure counselling relationship is imperative to emotional healing and lasting change.  Therefore, I make sure that you understand and consent to the work that we are embarking on to ensure that there is trust and safety in our relationship.  The counselling relationship and process is a deeply personal one.  It can be difficult to know what to expect.  here is an article from the BCACC that explains what counselling is  https://bcacc.ca/what-is-counselling/

Through a compassionate, trauma-informed, strengths-focused approach, I can help you decrease stress and anxiety, helping you feel more connected to yourself and others.
